6th Grade Science: Team D

Welcome to Team 6D! My name is Deanna Baxter. I am excited to once again be teaching Science at Deer Creek Intermediate. I feel so privileged to be a member of the staff here and cannot wait to discover what this year has in store for us.

My husband and I have four daughters. Hayley (DCHS 2011 graduate), is in England with her husband Chris, who is stationed there with the USAF. Lynsey (2013 grad) graduated from OSU with a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and is currently woking in Tulsa while pursuing her masters. Sydney (2018 grad) begins her college experience at UCO this year. Maycey, DC Senior, splits her days and attends the Francis Tuttle Pre-Engineering Academy. Before I began teaching, I was very active as a parent/volunteer/sub in the district for 14 years. During that time I received my Bachelors in Education from UCO.

An Okie since birth, I grew up in a small farming community which instilled the belief in working hand in hand with nature. I try to set a good example of stewardship for those around me and enjoy the great outdoors in many ways. It is my desire to help you discover a love of all things science that lasts you lifetime.
