5th Grade Reading

I am excited to be a part of the Deer Creek 4th and 5th Grade Center.   My family moved to Oklahoma from Iowa. While in Iowa, I taught 5th grade for the Des Moines Public Schools and for the Southeast Polk Schools. I received my Bachelor of Science in Education from Drake University with endorsements in Reading and Social Studies.

I have been married for 36 years to my husband Mark. We have two children, Nathan, a Security Analyst for Cox Communications in Atlanta, GA and Sarah is a pediatric nurse at The Children's Hospital in Bethany.

I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, hiking and going to sporting events. I am looking forward to an exciting year at the 4th and 5th Grade Center!
