I am thrilled about this upcoming school year and the opportunity to teach your child here at DCIS! I look forward to seeing what great things are in store for us this year! Here is a little about me.

My name is Brooke Wilson and I will be teaching Fifth grade math. I graduated from UCO with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education. After graduating, I began my teaching career in Putnam City Schools. I've taught fifth grade for 21 years. This will be my 7th year in Deer Creek. While in Putnam City, I received the Teacher of the Year Award for my school in 2003-2004. In 2016-2017, I was Teacher of the Year for DCIS.

When I am not in the classroom, I put on my "mom/wife" hat. My husband, Joel, and I live in the Deer Creek District and we have 3 children. Tyler will be a Sophomore at OSU, Go POKES; Brandon, will be a Senior at DCHS and Kelsi will be a 6th  grader at DCIS. They keep me very busy with all their activities. Be sure to say "Hi" when you see me out and about. Once you're my kid, you are ALWAYS my kid.❤️😍

In my spare time, I enjoy shopping, reading, traveling, surfing Pinterest for new things and ideas, and spending quality time with family and friends.
